Accelerated solvent extraction is a patented technique for the extraction of solid and semisolid sample matrices using common solvents at elevated temperatures and pressures. Thermo Scientific Dionex ASE systems are available in the entry-level Dionex ASE 150 system, and fully automated Dionex ASE 350.
Extractions that normally take hours can be done in minutes using accelerated solvent extraction with pH hardened pathways using Dionium™ components. Compared to techniques such as Soxhlet and sonication, accelerated solvent extraction generates results in a fraction of the time.
The many steps involved in sample preparation can now be automated with accelerated solvent extraction flow-through technology. Filtration and clean-up of solid samples can be achieved as part of the solvent extraction process in a single step. Accelerated solvent extraction offers a lower cost per sample than other techniques, reducing solvent consumption by up to 90%.

The Dionex ASE 150 system is an entry level system for laboratories with modest throughput. The Dionex ASE 350 system is a sequential extraction system capable of automated extraction of up to 24 samples.

Concentration and evaporation is an important step in achieving accurate analytical results with sample extracts. It is also labor intensive. The Thermo Scientific™ Rocket™ Evaporator automates this process, allowing the analyst to spend more time on other projects.
ASE® systems are designed to combine important sample prep tasks such as extraction, filtration, and cleanup to streamline the sample preparation process. Flow-through extraction allows absorbents to be added directly to the ASE extraction cell to remove interferences, for one-step extraction and cleanup.
