The UltiMate® 3000 Nano/Cap/Micro system (splitflow) offers precise, low flow rates down to 50 nL/min, and ultrahigh sensitivity. It is the perfect fit when working with limited sample volumes or performing low-low LC/MS applications. In its standard configuration it allows the reliable direct injection and 1D-separation of a minimum of 20 nL out of a 1 μL sample.

The UltiMate 3000 Nano/Cap/Micro system (splitflow) features a unique Flow Manager. Its active flow splitter is responsible for nano/cap/micro flow delivery, while column thermostatting ensures superior retention time reproducibility. The system’s UV detector with dedicated low volume nano/cap/micro flow cells is ideal to monitor separation results prior to MS detection.

UltiFlow Technology
In order to generate reproducible and accurate flow rates down to 50 nL/min, UltiFlow™ technology utilizes factory-calibrated split-cartridges together with higher pump flow rates. Gradient mixing at these higher flow rates significantly improves gradient reproducibility and flow accuracy, compared to splitless or passive-split approaches. This leads to improved solvent mixing and minimized gradient delays allowing fast gradient profiles, even at the lowest flow rates.
UltiFlow constantly monitors flow and immediately initiates corrective action when a deviation from the flow set-point is detected. This ensures reliable timing of peaks whether interfacing with the MS or depositing of fractions onto a MALDI plate; sample-to-sample, week-to-week, and instrument-to-instrument.


The following modules represent a typical biocompatible UltiMate 3000 Quaternary Nano/Cap/Micro system configuration. Due to its modular setup, the system can be upgraded easily by adding or exchanging LC modules.
