The Dionex ICS-1100 AR Acid Rain system was developed for China's acid rain monitoring programs. This fully equipped RFIC-ER system with leading edge eluent regeneration technology provides Acid Rain monitoring for up to a month of unattended, continuous operation while providing real time results every 15 minutes for anions or cations. Our ICS-1100 AR system is Always On and Always Ready.

The government in China and its related departments have recognized the importance of rain and snow monitoring in cities across China. The newly issued government regulations require cities to begin collecting rain and snow samples and monitoring for anions and cations using ion chromatography (IC). Monitoring stations are required to measure the content of specific anions including fluoride, chloride, sulfate, and nitrate, and cations including lithium, sodium, potassium, ammonium, calcium, and magnesium.

In the near future, more than 300 stations will begin using IC systems and technologies to automate acid rain monitoring.
