High Performance in an Integrated Design
For improved reproducibility, the heated and thermostatted high-performance conductivity detection cell permits measurements that are unaffected by temperature variations. This capability allows the instrument to provide sensitive conductivity results consistently, without baseline drift. Advanced single-range digital output with an operating range to 15,000 µS full-scale provides a full range for your ion analysis needs. Whether in low or high concentrations, ions of interest are easily identified in this detection range. An optional column heater can provide improved day-to-day consistency, ensuring reproducibility and system stability by heating the column at a stable temperature.
Optional built-in eluent vacuum degas provides automatic in-line degassing of eluents, protecting eluents from contamination and decomposition. RFIC-ER™ system control is also integrated into the instrument; add the optional startup kit and run samples for up to 28 days on a single 4 L bottle of eluent. Also optional is an integrated, auxiliary sample preparation valve. A 6- or 10-port valve can be installed to enable cost saving sample preparation techniques such as matrix elimination and on-line filtration.
Contamination-Free IC with Inert Material Throughout the Fluidic Flow Path
Dionex has produced complete polymeric systems constructed of PEEK™ materials for more than 25 years. Metal-free materials prevent the acid and base mobile phases traditionally used in IC analysis from contaminating and corroding the system. The PEEK material used provides a chemically inert pump and system flow path compatible with aqueous eluents of pH 0–14. Maintaining your system is simplified with materials that do not promote problems in the system. You can expect lower maintenance cost with the use of piston seal wash. The PEEK tubing used to plumb the system is easy to use and cut for fast replacement or plumbing flexibility. The ICS family of systems are preplumbed and configured, ready for your most challenging anion or cation analysis.
Conductivity Cell
For improved reproducibility, the heated and thermostatted high-performance conductivity detection cell permits measurements that are unaffected by temperature variations. This capability allows the instrument to provide sensitive conductivity results consistently, without variations in baseline drift. Advanced, single-range digital output with an operating range to 15,000 µS full-scale provides a full range for your ion analysis needs. Whether in low or high concentrations, ions of interest are easily identified in this detection range.
Convenient and Easy-to-Use IC System
The ICS-1100 system is controlled and operated using Chromeleon® SE software. Chromeleon SE combines the ideal blend of powerful data analysis capabilities with a logical, user-friendly interface. Only Chromeleon offers IC features that adapt to IC separations, and integration parameters that provide consistent results with changing analyte concentrations. Audit trails log the details of instrument use to provide a snapshot of the system running conditions. All manipulations are recorded and kept in a history file, making troubleshooting simple and GLP compliance more achievable. Storage of results in the secure, integral database allows you to find your data by any parameter using query functions. System Wellness provides on-line calibration and diagnostics to ensure optimum performance. Customizable reporting structure allows for optimized data and results presentation.
The ICS-1100 can be fully automated with an autosampler that consistently delivers samples every run, without user attention. The AS-DV and AS autosamplers provide flexibility in sample delivery and sample preparation alternatives. Simply fill and load the samples, enter the description, and press start to begin your daily routine.
