For high-resolution mapping and analysis of oligosaccharides released from glycoproteins, use the Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ CarboPac™ PA200 Analytical & Guard Columns to provide sensitive and specific detection. Combined with pulsed amperometric detection (PAD), this anion-exchange column provide fast, reproducible separations with no need for derivatization. The hydrophobic, polymeric, pellicular anion-exchange resin packing material is stable over the range of pH 0–14. This unique pH-stability allows the use of eluent compositions that are conducive to anodic oxidation of carbohydrates at gold electrodes.

About the Dionex CarboPac Family of Columns
The Dionex CarboPac family offers a selection of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) columns, each optimized for a different class of compounds. Combined with PAD, which provides a means to detect carbohydrates without derivatization, these columns support simple, reliable techniques to separate sugar alcohols, mono- and disaccharides, and poly- and oligosaccharides.

Dionex CarboPac columns provide high-resolution separations of:
  • Glycoprotein oligosaccharides and complex carbohydrates from dietary fiber, including fructans, maltodextrins, and amylopectins
  • Monosaccharides, such as those obtained from glycoprotein hydrolysates or plant hydrolysates
