The OnGuard II Na removes high levels of alkaline earth and transition metals from sample matrices without acidifying the sample. This ensures good recovery of acid-labile analytes such as nitrite. These cartridges contain 16% cross-linked, styrene-based, sulfonic acid resin in the sodium form. This resin has very high selectivity for multivalent cations such as calcium, magnesium and transition metals.
