Silymarins in Milk Thistle

Silymarin is an antioxidant flavonoid complex derived from milk thistle (Silybum marianum). Silymarin has been shown to prevents toxins from penetrating the interior of liver cells, while promoting the growth of healthy new cells to repair liver damage. The main constituent of silymarin is silibinin. Six silymarins are easily resolved using an Acclaim 120 C18 reversed-phase column.
