Detection Innovations
The ICS-3000 sets benchmarks in conductivity and electrochemical detection. The conductivity and electrochemical detectors install inside the DC, providing smoother baselines, greater consistency and lower detection limits. Both detectors can be configured for dual detection or as separate detectors for a dual system. The CD conductivity detector features improved electronics for quieter operation, greater thermal stability, and overall detection efficiency improvements.

The ED electrochemical detector features a new cell design as well as exciting new breakthroughs for electrochemical detection. The cell is more rugged and reliable due to the new handle design that provides uniform torque on the working electrode. This provides greater consistency for mounting of working electrodes, delivering more consistent results.

Now, for the first time, you can obtain a rich data set from your samples using electrochemical detection. Multiple waveforms can now be applied to a single sample injection, allowing you to optimize detection of your analytes. Collect data from the ED as a 3-D data set for post run analysis and characterization of different compound classes.
Increased Productivity with Dual Detection
Now you can have a dual system in a single system footprint. Upgrading is cost effective—your productivity will increase. A dual system opens a great number of possibilities for throughput and saving time and labor. And with the DC's flexible configuration and Chromeleon® control capabilities, your possibilities have more than doubled. For example, configure your system for simultaneous injection and perform both anion and cation analysis with one injection. Or perform two different anion applications. Eliminate dilutions from unknown samples by running the same column application with large loop/small loop injections.
With dual conductivity and electrochemical detection you can analyze common anions, iodide, sulfide, cyanide, phenols, organic acids, and carbohydrates. Configure with dual electrochemical detection to simultaneously analyze amino acids and carbohydrates. The possibilities empower your laboratory like never before. The ICS-3000 has something new for ease of use—the Automation Manager. Many customers have told us about the difficulty of integrating complex configurations seamlessly. The Automation Manager includes extra valves for sample handling, eluent addition, pre- and postcolumn sample handling, including the new Auto Prep technology, preconcentration, matrix elimination, and postcolumn reagent addition. Each of these features is seamlessly integrated, providing improved performance, operation, and automation control. The Automation Manager is easily configured and recognized through Chromeleon, eliminating the guesswork from TTL and contact closure control techniques. Now, all valves are controlled in a run program for accurate fluidic control.
