September 2006, Sunnyvale, CA—Dionex Corporation announces the release of its high-volume autosampler, the AS-HV, for large volume sampling with sample containers of up to 250 mL. Ideal for trace sample analysis, the AS-HV uses industry-proven materials to ensure flow paths are contamination-free, thereby optimizing detection limits. Sample vessels include ultraclean tissue culture flasks (polystyrene) or Nalgene^® polymer bottles. The autosampler uses pierceable septa to further protect the sample from ambient contamination and evaporation.

Sample delivery from the AS-HV is accomplished via one of several pump options: a syringe pump, a single piston pump, or a peristaltic pump. To minimize contamination of sample during loading, the AS-HV pulls sample into the IC injection valve and then injects it onto the system. The AS-HV enhances productivity by automating trace sample analysis; Chromeleon^® software provides further control and broader features to enhance productivity and ease of use.
