IonPac AS4A-SC Anion-Exchange Column

The IonPac® AS4A-SC anion-exchange column is designed for the fast analysis of inorganic anions in environmental waters. The AS4A-SC was introduced in 1984 and has been the preferred column for inorganic anions. The AS4A-SC is the specified column in U.S. EPA Method 300.0 (A). Dionex continues to make advancements in our column technology and introduced the AS14A column in 2000. The AS22 is the newest carbonate-based column recommended for fast analysis of inorganic anions.

  • Common inorganic anions are resolved in 8 min using an isocratic carbonate/bicarbonate eluent on the AS4A-SC column.
  • Sodium tetraborate gradient optimizes difficult separations, including resolution of fluoride, acetate, and formate.
  • This column meets or exceeds U.S. EPA Method 300.0 (A) performance requirements.
  • The AS22 column provides improved performance for fast analysis of inorganic anions.

The IonPac AS4A-SC (solvent-compatible) is a low-capacity, carbonate-based, anion-exchange column designed for the fast, isocratic separation of inorganic anions, including fluoride, chloride, nitrite, bromide, nitrate, phosphate, and sulfate, using a carbonate/bicarbonate eluent coupled with suppressed conductivity detection. The inorganic anions can easily be determined in drinking water, wastewater, foods and beverages, scrubber solutions, and other diverse sample matrices. Separation of the common inorganic anions can be achieved in less than 10 min using an isocratic carbonate/bicarbonate eluent. For simplified operation, use the AS4A-SC Eluent Concentrate and the Combined Seven Anion Standard. The Atlas® Anion Electrolytic Suppressor (AAES®) is recommended for use with the AS4A-SC column.

AS22 Column

The IonPac® AS22 is a very high-capacity anion-exchange column and is the recommended carbonate-based column for the fast, isocratic separation of inorganic anions, including flouride, chloride, nitrite, bromide, nitrate, phosphate, and sulfate, using a carbonate/bicarbonate eluent.

Ion Standards

The IonPac® ready-to-use ion standards are designed for routine anion or cation determinations.

AES

The fifth-generation Atlas® Electrolytic Suppressor delivers very low noise with fast start-up and is tailored for use with carbonate and MSA eluents. It can also be used with hydroxide and even sulfuric acid.

Eluent Concentrates

The IonPac® eluent concentrates are available for anion and cation determinations. The eluent concentrates are recommended for fast, reliable eluent preparation.
