ProPac Ion Exchange Columns |
|
There are four high efficiency polymer-based columns in the ProPac ion exchange family of columns for protein separations. The choice of weak or strong, anion or cation exchange depends upon the pKa of the protein of interest, but the WCX-10 is often the most popular starting point. | ProPac WCX-10 Weak Cation-Exchange Column for the High-Resolution Separation of Protein Isoforms | The ProPac® WCX-10, the most popular of the ProPac columns, is a weak cation-exchange column for the high-resolution separation of protein variants. The ProPac WCX-10 is particularly appropriate to applications such as quality control and analysis of monoclonal antibodies. Differences in selectivity between the ProPac SAX-10 and ProPac WCX-10 provide flexibility in maximizing resolution of closely related species.
| |
| | ProPac SCX-10 Strong Cation-Exchange Column for the High-Resolution Separation of Protein Isoforms | The ProPac® SCX-10 is a strong cation-exchange column for high-resolution separations of proteins. These columns are capable of resolving protein isoforms that differ by as little as one charged residue, and the ProPac SCX-10 is particularly applicable to the analysis of blood proteins. Differences in selectivity between the ProPac SCX-10 and ProPac WCX-10 provide flexibility in maximizing resolution of closely related species.
| |
| | ProPac SAX-10 Strong Anion-Exchange Column for the High-Resolution Separation of Protein Isoforms | The ProPac® SAX-10 is a strong anion-exchange column for high-resolution separations of proteins. These columns can resolve protein isoforms that differ by as little as one charged residue. The ProPac SAX-10 is particularly applicable to the analysis of dairy proteins such as milk caseins and ovalbumin. Differences in selectivity between the ProPac SAX-10 and ProPac WAX-10 provide flexibility in maximizing resolution of closely related species.
| |
| | ProPac WAX-10 Weak Anion-Exchange Column for the High-Resolution Analysis of Protein Variants | The ProPac® WAX-10 column is a weak anion-exchange columns for high-resolution separations of proteins. These columns can resolve protein isoforms that differ by as little as one charged residue. The ProPac WAX-10 has been applied to the separation of a major protein from minor components, such as the separation of ovalbumin 1 from minor sample components. Differences in selectivity between the ProPac WAX-10 and the ProPac SAX-10 provide flexibility in maximizing resolution of closely related species.

| | ProPac PA1 Column for Hydrophilic Anionic Protein Separations | The ProPac® PA1 column is a polymeric anion-exchange column for the analysis and purification of hydrophilic anionic proteins and peptides with pI values from 3 to 11. The pellicular nature of the packing provides superior resolution compared to macroporous anion-exchange resins and higher capacity than nonporous anion-exchange resins.
